In the interest of keeping everyone healthy and safe during and after our retreats, we kindly request that all participants agree to and adhere to the following protocols.
While we would all love to leave COVID, masks and tests behind us, experience has shown that this can have dangerous results, so we require your agreement with a few preventative measures and on-site protocols.
Our Agreement with Each Other
Before we come together for the retreat, we ask that you please be mindful of your potential exposure to illness in the days leading up to the retreat (ie., maybe declining an invitation to a gathering 5 days before the retreat start date).
Please travel mindfully, consider wearing a mask in crowded areas with poor ventilation, and wash or sanitize your hands after touching heavily used surfaces, such as check-in kiosks or security bins.
We all agree to take a COVID test before leaving home to begin our travels.
In the event of a positive test, please let us know immediately.
To locate a test kit, we recommend asking your healthcare provider or contacting a public healthcare facility. We suggest a Google search to find out where you can access kits near you.
Please bring masks and at least one COVID test with you to the retreat.
We agree to test again on the first full day of our retreat (and ideally again on the following day).
In the event of a positive test, please notify our on-site concierge immediately via WhatsApp, wear a mask, maintain social distancing at all future group events, and take meals to your room.
Depending on the severity of symptoms, we understand that it might be necessary to set up a virtual classroom option to keep everyone safe.
We agree to wash our hands or use hand sanitizer before using the food buffet or handling shared utensils.
We will be honest and forthcoming about any and all symptoms -- even if we think it's just allergies. When in doubt, we agree to mask.
We will be reasonable, understanding and respectful, knowing that illness is a part of life and we can only ever do our best to prevent it. There is no place for blame or shame on this retreat, but plenty of space for compassion and understanding.
